Alyx van der Vorm is the 23 year old Founder of a Clyx, a social network company aiming to change social media to enable connection in real life, rather than viewing the experiences of others.
Alyx founded Clyx while top of her Class at Harvard. A neuroscience major, she found that there were a plethora of apps and social media systems using scientific principles to produce and share content online, but none focussing on helping us connect in real life.
Her team at Clyx has been built from top talent at Snap, Meta, Boston Consulting group, the UK Ministry of Defense and Getir with Alyx being the youngest person on the team.
In her spare time, Alyx enjoys long-distance running and adventures and in 2020 she was the winner of the Newcastle Marathon.
