Yona Deshommes, CEO at Riverchild Media/Partner Collective 5 Entertainment,  a literary/management, publicity, marketing, branding and production company specializing in working with BIPOC authors or books aimed at BIPOC audiences.
Yona’s professional career started in education for at-risk youth from the juvenile justice and foster care systems, followed by a 15 year career in book publicity where she has conceived and executed strategic publicity plans for a number of high profile clients that include Bishop TD Jakes, rapper/actor Common, Taraji P. Henson, Michael Strahan and a host of other New York Times bestselling authors and luminaries.

It was in 2020 when she founded Riverchild Media, and Collective 5 Entertainment. Yona is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, Tau Gamma Zeta chapter in Rockland County, NY, and she has triumphed over stage 4 stomach cancer, alcoholism and depression. She spends part of her time reaching out to those who are or have suffered from those conditions, providing hope and an ear to those who are in need.
